My mother is a talented and crafty lady. She knits, crochets, sews and makes many many things that I cannot name.
I used to see her working on this old Singer sewing machine. The kind that you can put the machine into the stand and it became a table. It was a mechanical one that didn’t need a plug.
I remembered that once I had to make an apron for school. Of course, I left it at the last minute and was almost in tears because I had no idea how to make an apron.
My mom told me to go to bed. The next morning, I brought to the school a perfectly made apron.
I have never learned to sew. Not even buttons.
About a year ago, I was looking for something new to learn. I stumbled upon a free class provided by the city. I registered and started my sewing journey.
Surprisingly, I like it, and I have been taking the class again and again.
And this, is to document what I have learned.
